STAND provides professional and ethical services in the fields of SUDs (substance use disorders), GBV (gender-based violence) and Trauma with a focus on the family system, by scientifically managing the complexities related to these problems, ultimately achieving the best intervention outcomes. STAND’s services focus on the various eco-systemic levels of society, i.e. taking a macro view of the systemic causes of social injustice at the large-scale community, national, and international levels and developing interventions that address these systemic causes.
We provide both individual and family counselling and workgroups in a therapeutic capacity. Our work extends to assist large groups of people indirectly (i.e. geographical impact) through research, political advocacy, and far-reaching programs that address prevalent social problems. STAND takes pride in rendering these specialized services in very complex fields by using a culmination of skills and expertise in a diverse practice framework that is needed to ensure a service of quality.
