STAND partners together with like-minded organisations and funders through our Targeted Project work to:
- Provide evidence based, gender centric capacitation to drug and alcohol dependent communities on how to reduce existing alcohol and drug related harms.
- Establish networks of support for women in remote regions and capacitate on small business development and financial literacy and link them to socio-economic opportunities.
- Ensure equitable access to access economic opportunities.
- Address the barriers of linkage to comprehensive Health Care including HIV and SRHC services through direct linkage and establishment of relationships with the Network Leads
- Link network leads to Law Enforcement and Social Welfare services by establishing and building on relationships to ensure support.
- Capacitate women and priority populations in advocacy work, to ensure they are equitably represented, and their voices are heard on various platforms regarding services and policy reform in South Africa and globally.
